APV collaborated with the Center for Program Integrity to create the Adverse Legal Action Case Management System (ACMS) to enhance case review efficiency.
The APV team investigates healthcare providers at risk of adverse legal actions and recommends appropriate measures like revoking billing privileges.
APV's team developed the Java-based ACMS in 80 days, incorporating Robotic Process Automation and advanced data analytics for optimized workflow. An inventory management plan was also established to minimize case backlogs, enabling more efficient reviews by CMS.
Benefits/Outcomes
Developed a cloud-based system using Agile methodology, hosted on FedRAMP-certified AWS GovCloud.
Processed and closed over 17,500 cases since the contract began in September 2021.
